About Baberton
First constituted as a club in 1893, Baberton boasts an 18 hole heathland course designed initially by Willie Park Jnr and upgraded by a plan drawn up by James Braid in 1926. The first nine holes follow the boundary of the course, which although shorter than the back nine, presents the visitor with some demanding Par 3 and 4 holes. The second nine features longer, but equally challenging holes. All over the course there are different views of the Pentland Hills, Forth Bridges, Edinburgh Castle and the Edinburgh skyline. Once you have completed your round, visit the clubhouse and view the unique historic collection of the first steel shafted clubs and patents, which originated in Baberton.
