About Kingsknowe

Established in 1908, the course design was influenced by two golfing greats, Alex Herd and James Braid, both of whom were previous Open Champions. An 18 hole parkland course, set in a leafy suburb of Edinburgh, offers the visitor a diverse and interesting golfing challenge for all levels of handicap. Designed as two loops of nine holes, the gently rolling terrain provides a varied test at each hole whilst offering some splendid views of Scotland's capital city.
