About Ratho Park
Originally laid out where Edinburgh Zoo is situated, the course moved to Ratho in 1928 with a little help from James Braid. Located just within the City limits, the course’s close proximity to Edinburgh Airport, makes it an attractive choice for seasoned air travellers. The 18 holes are laid out in a parkland setting entirely enclosed by an array of mature deciduous and coniferous trees. All holes feature trees in one way or another, ensuring the visitor must use their best course management skills to make their way round. After a round, visitors can relax in the comfortable surroundings of a Grade ‘A’ listed manor house, which was built in 1824 by the original owner William Burn. Enjoy a drink in an oasis of calm in a bustling world.
